Being an instinctive photographer means that most of time, I don’t take pictures, the pictures take me. Something in the way the subject fits in the frame, what is and isn’t included, what is there and what can be added to it – all split second perceptions as I press the shutter. The same subject I thought of as unappealing one day was a thing of beauty the next – all I had to do was to keep looking and be there when the time was right.
